About Us
The Mission
Seeking the City is a missions organization founded in 2022 to help churches and community ministries in West Georgia fulfill the Great Commission through gospel-focused initiatives, events, podcast, and equipping community.
Churches and Christians have one singular mission and message - make disciples of Jesus as we live as faithful witnesses of the gospel. For many of us, being on mission to go into all the world to make disciples and be a Christian witness feels like a task that is too big, too complicated. For some, it's a challenge to go across the street or across town to take the gospel where Jesus is not known. We want to help remove the barriers, challenges and fatigue to making disciples of Jesus and making a difference in our cities and communities.
Our mission is to inspire and mobilize a missionary movement of making disciples by taking the gospel where Jesus is not known. We're glad you're here and pray that you will join us on this bold, creative and intentional mission.
Seeking the City Team
A Note From Our Founder
Seeking the city was started with the goal to take the gospel where Jesus is not known in West Georgia and beyond.
We love our cities in West Georgia. But many of our neighbors are hurting. The evidence of brokenness and spiritual lostness in our city can be overwhelming.
With God’s help, we can rebuild and restore our cities and communities so that people are cared for physically, emotionally and mentally; transformed spiritually; and thriving in community relationally. That’s biblical transformation. As we pray and seek God for our cities, He will lead us and show us how to bring unity, healing, and restoration.
Together we can fix broken homes and systems, reach the marginalized, speak up for those who have no voice, and share the good news and love of Christ with all. That’s how we’ll see our neighbors and the culture of West Georgia transformed by the gospel.
